EL SETT

From two-time Academy Award®-winning director Ben Proudfoot and executive produced by Barack and Michelle Obama's Higher Ground Productions, The Eyes of Ghana is a powerful documentary that follows 93-year-old filmmaker Chris Hesse, the personal cinematographer of Ghana's founding president, Kwame Nkrumah.
As Chris races against blindness and time, he embarks on a mission to rescue and repatriate a hidden archive of more than 1,000 films documenting the birth of African independence during the 1950s and 1960s.
Unseen by the public for decades, this extraordinary collection has the potential to reshape not only Ghanaian and African history, but our understanding of world history.

Winner of the Audience Award for Best Documentary Feature at the Hamptons International Film Festival, The Eyes of Ghana has been hailed by TheWrap as "a superb movie" and praised by Screen Daily as "a rich, celebratory film"honouring one of Africa's forgotten cinematic pioneers.
